A Facilitated Support Group for
Parents of Transracially Adopted Teens & Tweens
| Dates, Times & Logistics: | Fall Series: 6 Thursday evenings, 7:15pm to 8:45pm, Feb.16, 23, March 1, 22 & 29 and April 12th

| Facilitator: | Marsha Hiller, MFT therapist and adoptive mother of two teens.

| Group Approach: | Parents will be given the opportunity to share their experiences while participating in an informally structured group model that explores topics of interest to all of the participants. Adolescence is always a volatile, vulnerable time, and it can be especially so for adopted children of color. Each group session offers parents and caregivers the opportunity to explore their feelings about their current parenting challenges in a safe and nurturing setting, with a focus on developmentally appropriate approaches to their children's issues and the new struggles that come to light when children begin the challenging process of becoming young adults.
