Support Resources for Adoptive Parents of Color Pact is committed to provided safe and supportive spaces for adoptive parents of color and their parenting partners. At Pact we are always looking at ways to support adoptive families of color better. After conducting an on-line survey we have created an array of services that serve the needs of families not only in the San Francisco Bay region but around the nation. Pact provides speakers to address challenges and assets particular to raising healthy and happy adoptive families of color. Content will be particularly focused on issues relevant to African American, Latino and Asian adoptive parents and their parenting partners. Meets the first Saturday of the month 3-4 times per year. Play Groups & Family Activities in the SF Bay Area Click here for more details about Play Groups and Family Activities Have little ones between ages of one month and 10 years old? Play groups every other month will give an opportunity for adoptive parents of color and their parenting partners to get together in an informal environment and build community. Alternatively we offer outings that are suitable for both younger and older school age children to venues that include educational and fun experiences that support strong identity for boys and girls of color. Meets the first Saturday of the month except when there is an educational group. Speakers Bureau Children of color are in need of families of color to adopt them.
