Benefit from experts in the field of youth and child development. Pact provides speakers to address challenges and assets particular to raising healthy and happy adoptive families of color. Content will be particularly focused on issues relevant to African American, Latino and Asian adoptive parents and their parenting partners. Meets the first Saturday of the month 3-4 times per year. Childcare is provided.

Description:Join Malaika Parker, Pact's Family of Color Specialist and adult adoptees for a potluck and discussion on Understanding Adoptees Feelings. This is a great opportunity to ask questions of those who have lived the experience and explore the lifelong issues that are part of the process.

Description:Join Malaika Parker, Pact's Family of Color Specialist, in this discussion about how to instill hope while keeping our children safe in this age of change. Race is always a factor, we will discuss how to instill pride in our children as we talk about the racial landscape of their world. Childcare provided.
