Pact, An Adoption Alliance Program Descriptions

2008 Pact Camp Housing

There are a wide variety of lodging options available for families at camp. They range from tent camping to shared cabins (with indoor bathrooms) to private hotel-style rooms in the conference center. Shared cabins range in size from 4-14 people per room. Smaller families who choose cabins can expect to share a room (and bathroom) with other families.

Families will be billed for their room and board after they receive their housing assignments. Meals will be served family-style in the camp dining hall. Every meal will include vegetarian options. Housing is free for children under one year of age.

Housing Package:
The room and board package includes five nights of housing (Sunday-Thursday) and 15 meals (Sunday dinner through Friday lunch). There are no "partial" packages available - even if you arrive later or leave earlier, the cost is the same. Camp opens at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon with registration, and closes immediately after lunch on Friday.

Description of Lodging Options:

Conference Center: Limited number of hotel-style rooms with private bath, in the Redwood Glen Conference Center. They can accommodate up to five people (2 doubles with rollaway). Because of the limited number of rooms, only one room allotted per family. Description and photo of the conference center is here.

Cabin/Lodge: Rustic shared cabins or lodge rooms with twin bunk beds and indoor bathrooms. (shared by both genders) Families should bring sleeping bags/bedding and towels. Cabin and lodge rooms accommodate 4-14 people per room and so small families will share with others. Campers may specify specific cabinmate preferences so they can room with friends. A description and photo of the lodge is here. http://www.redwoodglen.com/shepherd/index.htm A typical cabin is described here.

Campsite: Families may bring an RV (there are electrical and water hookups) or pitch a tent on a graded campsite. Those who stay in a campsite will share bathroom facilities with nearby cabins.

Commuters: Families who wish to stay offsite must pay for meals and program participation only.

Teen Village: (NEW THIS YEAR) Teens aged 13-19 will stay in their own 'teen village' in an area of camp with platform tents. They will be in gender-segregated tents and be supervised by their own counselors.
